You need hardware too! You need a TV-Box or TV-card. whether you are watching digital or analog TV programs. Software that come with it are the driver that make your TV-Box or TV-card work. Your system may be a bit slow to work. And you have to subscribe for your digital TV viewing and Aerial license fee for your analog TV.

I disagree with the price mentioned. If you check the sale adds you can find a tv tuner card for as little as $30-50. Any one of them will come with all the software you need and a cable-tv connector on the back.

software alone won't help you. you need to install a tv card in your computer - they cost from $100+ (if you search really well). then you can connect that to an antenna and watch tv. how do you expect to receive the TV signals on your computer just with software?
