Well, I would believe that the "at school" part would be symbolic of problems at school. These can include many things such as bad grades (though this is less commonplace nowadays, fortunately), being completely alienated and isolated in both the home and school and because of rejection from peers, and, more importantly, feelings of inferiority and uselessness to peers.

There can be various factors,chief among these is school bullying,however a dysfunctional family life can also contribute to this when the child cannot cope with the pressures of learning(exams etc) and the loveless experience of a tough home, mixed with an over-whelming feeling of no self worth.

To show the other kids that he/she wasn't a coward or to show them what they did to them. Ex. Kid is getting made fun of at school, so they feel like suicide is the only way, and to get the attention from the people they hate the most they do it at the school to make a point.

I honestly don't know why kids would go that far. The mere fact that we're here and alive is enough reason to celebrate! Life is too short to make it even shorter. It's a waste. Live life. As they say, whenever life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Maybe no one paid any attention to him and this way he would make sure everyone was paying attention. Heartbreaking for any kid to commit suicide, how painfully sad to never have the answers.

probably coz the kid's upset over something...and someone is school pushes him/her to the edge...
and he/she decides to commit suicide
rather sad really, but peers have a HUGE influence over a child..sometimes more than anyone else
