yes very much... try to figure out if your setup is permanent. if it is, use wired networking because it's way cheaper and faster too.

also try to consider if you will need a lot of wiring(since it's expensive) depending on where the wires will pass. if there is a clear line of sight and a long distance, i will use wireless.

come to think of it, the price difference isnt that great. but wired is definitely faster.

No, wired is cheaper, but frankly it's not that much different any more (wireless is so inexpensive now) and it beats stringing wires all over the place. I'm a wireless convert at this point.

Many computers now come with wireless cards (particularly laptops) but if you have a bunch that are wired, you can get a wireless access point (to match your router), pick up the signal, and distribute it via wires. So you go wireless for the long distances and wired for the nearby ones.

Personally, except for changing machines I already own, I'm just going wireless at this point. 90% of my working machines are wireless now.
