Hello i have tried a lot of these sites listed above and they did not remove the virus, they pick up the common stuff like ad ware and spy-ware but not the main viruses, after i used http://www.superantispyware.com/ i was amassed with the result, i recommend you try it. And its free

Adaware and Spybot are not virus scanners they will remove spyware. Avast is very good, i have all 3 installed on my pc

You need to install one firewall.
The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.
