The Dead Sea is a rapidly shrinking body of water on the border between Israel and Jordan. It is the lowest place on earth (the surface of the water is). It is so salty that you will naturally float in it.
It is called dead because it has no fish or other large animal wildlife, however, it has recently been discovered that there are microbes living in it that can stand the harsh environment.

Its dead because of the vast amounts of salt residing in the lake! For this, nothing else can live there because nothing can drink and absorb and utilise that quantity of salt! Humans can float on the sea water because of the salt! Some people also say that there is a dead civilization underneath there! Im not sure! Apparently the polluted it with salt to stop people finding it!

It's dead because it's so salty nothing can live in it. As for exploration, why bother? They don't call it the Dead Sea for nothing!

It's dead because there's so much salt in the water, normal sea creatures can't survive in there.
It's explored. Don't know what you mean with that.
