My friend Charlotte is desperate for a nickname, and doesn't like the 'Lottie, Charlie, Chaz, Carly, Char' type nicknames. I can't really think of very many apart from 'Lollie' and 'Coco' so I was wondering if you could come up with any variations? By the way, they don't have to be 100% related to Charlotte, for instance I had another mate called Charlotte who preferred to be called 'Mimi'. So basically, I was wondering if anybody had any cute nickname ideas for girls? Many thanks :)

What about CeeCee or Kee Kee? TeeTee?
My daughter was born on June 30th. She just barely made it in time to still be born in June, so I have always called her June Bug, or June, or Buggie. Also, when she was a little bitty little thing, she would make this "coo" noise like a dove-so I took to calling her turtle dove for a while.
After three years, though, the two knicknames that have stuck have been June Bug and Monkey Butt.
I was Kell B Frog when I was a kid. This kid's mom is lucky to have you helping!

Choosing a nickname for yourself is definitely hard. It is even harder to get it to stick!
I don't really understand having a nickname that isn't similiar to her own name. Why doesn't she just chose another name she would rather use?
Anyway, :)
How about:
Ceecee (or CC or Cici or Cece)
Carry
Cara
Calle (like Halle)
Alle (again Ally)
Attie
Atley
Lea
Leelee
Leela
Lilly
Essie
Lola
Elle
Elsie
Hart
Crickett
Catt
Chloe
Chase
Cha-Cha
My favorite would be Chloe...all the letters in the right order just skipping a few. :)

I always thought nicknames were given by chance or reason. I never thought of a grown person sitting down and trying to think of a nickname. I can't imagine telling people to call me "lala" instead of Laura all of a sudden. It is kind of weird to me. Also if one of m friends told me to call the something different I would feel alittle funny. I am not saying i don't have nicknames for my friends or kids but they are just names that kind of grew on them, not one with thought and intention put into it. Anyway maybe call her CharChar or Charley or LoLo I don't have any idea. Think of her personality not really her name.

Well, to come up with something unrelated to her name, you would have to know something about her. Nicknames usually evolve on thier own. If you purposely TRY to make one up, it always just "feels" wrong. I'll give it a try, though. Here goes....well here's the thought process....Charlotte's Web...spiders...long legs...is Charlotte a "leggy" gal? She could be Legs. She could go by "Picky". I think Char sounds nice.

I think the nickname Charlie is soo cute for a girl. Tomboy or girlie girl, its really sweet. That was also Jennifer Lopez's nickname in "Monster-in-Law."

My real name is Matthew Christian, but I go by the names MC and Falcon. You could have more than one nickname if you want. How about Charisa and Cat?
