I used vaseline on my babies when they were suffering from cradle cap.. they had thick hair it worked wonders just rub some on and leave it overnight and wash off the next day and repeat that in couple of days, it works, believe me!!

I massaged some baby oil into my son's hair, repeated the massaging process every 10 mins or so (perhaps adding a little more oil), then washed out with baby shampoo after about an hour.
His cradle cap practically disappeared over-night. I only had to use the oil once as well. So I highly recommend Johnson's baby oil for cradle cap.

Gently rub a little oil (I always use olive oil, but baby oil is ok) into babies scalp at bedtime. In the morning, use a baby bristle brush to brush his/her hair. This should be enough to lift most of the now softened cradle cap. Wash (you'll probably need a couple of goes) thouroughly with baby shampoo, including the now greasy brush!
This will lift the worst of it, but you may need to repeat it after a few days.

Vaseline rub it into the area where cradle cap is present and comb through the hair about four times a day, its amazing how much it picks up when you comb it. It should clear quickly once you keep applying it and combing it through.
I have a 17 mth old girl it worked for her and my mother always used it and she had 11 kids.

Astral moisturiser i have found works excellently and smells lovely too, put it on at bed time and gently with a really soft baby brush go round wee ones hair in circles to help loosen the flakes. persever for a week or so and i guarantee your little poppet will be cradle cap free. xxxxxx
