Shalom Rav!

I heard that there was a Study that had been done seeking to refute an earlier study that was believed to be biased. The study showing that the Brain Waves of someone watching TV were similar to those of someone in a Coma.

Rather than refuting the findings, the laters study, or so I was told, confirmed them.

Yes? No?

Thanks in advance.

Be well, God bless, Fare MOST EXCELLENTLY !!!

Well if 2 studies say so...

By acheiving certain brain waves, you can unleash a lot of power inside of you that you probably didn't know you had.

Health, happiness, creativity, intuition.

Your brain is usually at the beta state.

* Your brain is at Alpha state -- Around 7 to 12 Hz.

Your body and mind relaxes.
Your mind is reaching the gateway to creativity.

* Once you enter the Theta state -- Around 4 to 7 Hz.

Your creativity and intuition shoots through the roof.
You're approaching the gateway to enhanced learning and memory.

* The last state you'll explore is Delta -- Less than 4Hz.

You have magnetic memory and speed learning capability.
Remember and understand dreams vividly.
You see anything beyond time and space limitation. People thought you're a psychic!
The power of speed healing and regeneration rushes into your body.

So the best thing to do is stop watching TV and unleash the powers in your brain by learning to achieve the delta, alpha, and theta waves.

That does depend on what you watch. My partner likes Eastenders (and many MANY other soaps), so we have to sit through them EVERY night. Yes, that does feel like I'm in a coma.

On the other hand, I prefer the program Mythbusters, How music works and other most informative programs. I don't see why these kinds of programs would slow your brain activity.

I think the study is probably heavily biased.

PS, I don't believe in God, because God is imaginary.

I don't know specifically about the brain waves, but I can tell you if you spend your entire days watching TV, you will not get more happiness than a patient in coma.

I don't believe that at all. If you are learning by what you are watching, then I don't see how your brain activity would lessen to that of a comatose state.
Maybe the people tested were watching the fishing channel.
