In an AC circuit many situations the voltage desires to be decreased yet not the capability. A step down transformer is empliyed ti working example drop the voltage with the help of 0.5 and double the present ability which preserves the capability minus loss as a results of performance ~a million%. that's what occurs in maximum Ac home equipment. The enter is 110AC whioch is dropped to 12VAC, rectified to DC and used to force the appliance, stereo receiver, amp, workstation.
