I am looking for a high street retailer who sells fire gel. It is coming increasingly popular, yet no-where seems to sell it.

That sounds dangerous...no wonder nobody sells it.
You are describing Napalm by the sound of it or maybe phosphorus.

If you want to use it to entertain people get a busking licence from your local council. If you just want to run around on fire or something then you will be arrested for causing a nuisance or being a hazard. If you are doing it as part of a protest then make sure you inform any police officer or the protest organiser that you are using a burning gel and not just burning yourself to death like those protesting monks did in the 80s.
Basically you will be OK using it in public as long as you have told your local authority. If you are using it for pranks or just to shock the public for no reason then the police will look dimly at what you are doing.
Many large costume shops sell circus goods including this sort of gel and other things for fire tricks like flaming diabolo and fire eating - they also sell books on how to use these things. I think you might have to go to London or Birmingham to find such a store.

Any sporting goods store should have something very similar,in the camping equipment. Also,Supermarkets should have some in with the picnic items. The name of it is ,"Sterno" or "Canned Heat"(not the band). Places that sell emergency items would have it too.You could also find a dealer who sells those kind of fireplaces,and ask for the name of their service rep. They would have to have the fuel for it,they do sell the fireplaces. Oh I remembered the name of a fireplace dealer,it's "Fire Magic".Another one is "Peterson's",Or Peterson's sells Fire Magic. Bye.

the stuff from b & q is outdoor, its different, NEXT do it and they sell stone holders of different shapes and sizes too, it comes in tins with a lid like a paint tin. go to a next store with a home dept, they do it there
