I remember reading a book when I was a kid and I really want to buy it again, but can't remember what it was called.
It was a bout a group of dolls who lived in a doll house, but the girl who owned them got a brand new one and the old house was put behind her bedroom door and all but forgotten about. The old dolls were a bit shabby and used to stitch each others clothes. The new dolls were snobby and used to look down on the old dolls because they took fun in dancing and singing. Then the new dolls came down with a fever and the old dolls saved their lives by using mustard patches. I think one of the old (male) dolls was in love with one of the new (female) dolls and they ended up being happy together.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'm pretty sure this book wasn't Enid Blyton. Thanks :-)
