Not for another 25 years. India needs to pay attention to the following before it can emerge as a 'Superpower'
1) Infrastructure - the internal infrastructure in India is abyssmal. Power, communications and transport all need to be made modern. With a nation of India's size this will cost a huge amount
2) Government - unfortunately India is suffering for a large amount of governement disunification and corruption. A nation divided with ministers only looking after their own interest cannot hope to provide a unifying force to promote India as a superpower.
3) Brain drain - India by far and away produces the largest number of University Graduates and skilled workers in the world. However; India loses this brain pool to emmigration every year as Indians go to the EU and the USA to find good paying jobs and stability
4) Foreign Relations - India must find a cordial agreement with Pakistan and by proxy between the Hindus and Muslims of its own nation. Also border disputes with China which could dangerously erupt into a huge conflict in the region need to be solved for good.

UN projections predict India will be an economic powerhouse in 10 years. You have signed a nuclear power program with the US. You have ICBM's and nuclear weapons. Your nation is one of ingenuity, you thrive on competition, & you seek to care for your citizens more than ever before. So long as there is peace between your country and Pakistan, and in Kashmir, and that your multi-cultured population is content, the sky is the limit for India. Superpower? That is fast approaching.

Superpower is a fools word as great nation grows on ingenuity ,hard work and people who create machines for the benefit or fun for humanity because people who build a machine or object for death such as nuclear weapons is a nation that has no future and no prospects for the world community .I am glad Australia refused India nuclear material .Charity starts in your own nation first .
