I need some good tips from people, none of this straight out of a text book bull... I need the good festivals, things worth seeing... basically I don't want to waste 2 months seeing the wrong stuff... HELP!! Thanks ;-)

It would be easier to answer your question if you gave some more details, such as when in the summer you are planning to backpack around Europe and if there are certain regions that you want to concentrate on more!!
There are just too many festivals and things worth seeing.. Since I do not know what you are interested in, there is no point in me listing 20 festivals and different sights worth seeing.

this is the link to the programme of a really good street festival in my town, Varazdin. Its in the north of Croatia so if youre in the neighbouhood you can pop by!
