Well where i live there are hordes of ppl begging on streets!!
i sympathize sometimes but many times they try to make u a fool by acting!

depends what they are begging for.
are they begging for a new job so they can start their life over again? or are they begging for money so that they can be lazy and not work?
if you see someone on the street corner with the sign "will work for food" and you have a job only pay them after the job is done.
if you do not have a job for them it is okay to give them a loaf of bread and some lunch meat if you feel it in your heart. also acceptable gifts for these folks are bus passes with schedules to the nearest salvation army or rescue mission in your town.

i dont think begging should be classified as good or bad.... some people genuinely cant help that they were born in abject poverty and/or with a disability. i come from a country where poverty is a big problem and there are not as many options for people with disabilities or adequate employment for that matter... there are so many genuine reasons for begging, i find it offensive that someone would say its rude... it takes guts to suppress all sense of pride and dignity and put ur life in someone else's hands, depending on measly handouts and being looked upon as scum of the earth. these are human beings and this is the only way they can survive!
the sad thing is that some people take advantage of peoples sympathy and chose to beg when nothin stops them from earning a proper living...
if you cant bring urself to give handouts to these people an alternative would be to donate to a charity dedicated to getting these beggars off the streets. or better still start one urself

I can only feel bad for those who have to resort to something like that. the funny thing is I see it a lot in western countries as well ! a place were people should not have to beg because the social system takes care of them! very very sad !

I don't have a dog but only two of my four cats brother to beg for anything. The other two will just take it if you aren't paying close enough attention.

it depends on whos doing it ,i have passed up grown men begging but will find change for children asking for donations for their sports are clubs

Offer to buy them a hot drink or food, never just give money.

i always give to beggers but never around gas station/ convenience stores because most of the time they just want a beer or cigarette.

it is bad that why people don,t what dogs to beg and they don,t like it for people to do the same it,s rude.
