I have had many profound and positive experiences from taking LSD - I use it no more than 3 or 4 times a year, and I usually take it with 2 or 3 good friends - we choose a positive, beautiful environment - for the last one we went mountain biking through a forest and ended up on a deserted beach with breathtaking views. The visuals were amazing, and the feeling of appreciation for the beauty and perfection of nature from all those experiences has remained with me.
I have tremendous respect for those people risking their freedom and reputation by manufacturing and distributing LSD

I had a headache for five days after taking part in a native indian "sweetgrass ceremony". Talk about a hangover. But the actual ceremony and shortly after it (once I could stop laughing like a maniac over nothing) was kind of kewl. I don't regret it but I don't think I'd go out of my way to do it again.

You're probably going to get reported for asking a drug related question, but before you do I have to say I like the avatar. Cool use of LED technology and optics.
In answer to your main question, no and yes; although I know plenty of people for whom the answers were yes and no.
If it's a struggle to maintain sanity, then LSD and other hallucinogens are definitely not a good idea. It sounds like you know this already.

though I did take hallucinogenic drugs as a young adult, the best profound discoveries I have had are the ones gained through worship, intercession, dreams and visions and even angelic visitations.

She taught me the that technique of honesty and friendship by ability of the movements of god, genuinely if i have not met her then i do not imagine i must be a believer of god immediately. i'd not were waiting to position self assurance in myself, to renounce facebook for lent. She confirmed me god and that i'm a believer immediately, i wish to proceed searching god and jesus interior myself as I boost older [2] when I had first gotten my stitches interior the first grade I had discovered to be courageous and courageous [3]when I had gotten my first canine, genuinely without him i'd not were waiting to get over a number of the mess in my life. even as he became ill with the tummy flu and had bloody stool I had cried myself to sleep i assumed he became going to die and that i became genuinely in turmoil although my canine has taught me the that technique of love. [4] this isn't the healthy and that i recognize it is undesirable yet when I had gotten intense (less than the effect of marijuana) I had genuinely felt freedom. i became no longer tied down and that i became waiting to stay each and everything and sense each and everything i do no longer condone this behaviour although i believe it is an journey you should attempt a minimum of once on your life. extraordinarily being a youngster I had such intense expectancies of myself alongside with my father and mom and instructors, I felt like i became going to break aside.
