say someone discovers *irrefutable* proof that the earth was made or that there is a god or not.....proof that explains how we got here and what happens after death and whats in the rest of the universe. i mean if the mystery is solved and it can't be denied....so how do you think the world would react? would there be wars, attempts to deny it, world peace????

A certain number of people would embrace this revelation and accept it without question, others would ask to see this proof leading to some of them to join the first group while some remain undecided / sceptical. Unfortunately that would not be the end of it.

There would be another group that would argue until they were blue in the face that the 'prrof' is false / fake or just not worth listening to. Some people and groups are too involved in their own way of thinking to accept that what they have been believing in since birth could be wrong.

An example of this way of thinking is that there are still today thousands of people who believe and argue that the holocaust NEVER happened, that it was and still is a fabrication despite the hard evidence left by this dark chapter in human hystory.

Ofering proof that something that is strongly believed in unfortunately does not mean that everyone will accept this new idea, regardless of how complelling the proof may be.

There would be chaos. People would loose their way of living. Generations and centuries of people have grown up believing in different religions. Can you imagine what that would be like to find out that it was all a lie. The countries who's religion proved to be true would have the upper hand. They would pretty much rule the world. Everybody has to believe in something even if it is a mystery.

I would kiss the feet of that person, FIRST
There still would not make a difference since these things have no relation with that proof as all are fighting with one another to become superior to the other,
So the first thing people would do is to prove that theory wrong!!

There is actually.

You just don't understand what is before you
when you don't know what to look for it makes it more difficult to recognize it.

God loves his riddles
that's evident.

Each riddle has a treasure for the one who solves it.
It's not quite the same if someone tells you what the riddle is, because often riddles are quite profound (for finding) in themselves, but discovering the answers for yourself is truely a treasure worthy.

If you gave people proof, they would demand a second opinion by an objective third party investigative research team. Half would form a committee to validate the findings, and half would form a committee to investigate the conspiracy.

if there was proof... in this age people would just figure out ways and means to justify the relevance and validity of that proof to suit they're own theories.
but if it came about at an earlier time..before the knowledge era...people would be more accepting.

the one who provides the answer would be burned alive by the religious institutions , and after 100 years it would be accepted by most of the people.
Every time someone proves something beyond a doubt thats what happened. (for something that big)

This world would self-destruct, and a more complex and mysterious one would replace it. ;)
