Hi, here is the way to reveal / hide files in Windows:

1 Open 'Windows Explorer' (just open a regular window such as 'My Documents' for instance)

2 Choose 'Tools' on the top bar and then click 'FOLDER OPTIONS'

3 Go to the 'View' tab at the top,

4 Scroll down until you see 'Hidden Files and Folders' and right there check 'Show Hidden Files and Folders'. Validate with 'apply' and that should do it.

Now the hidden files are revealed, you can start a search on your hard drive if you remember any of words in the file name... or the exact location of course.

I hope this helps!

Cheers

Go in to the folder that you want to see the hidden files from (ex: My Documents) then from your top menu choose TOOLS, Then chose Folder Options, Then click on the VIEW tab, then scroll down till you see Hidden Files and Folders, then click on Hidden Files and Folders button, then click Apply and then OK.

hope that helps... good luck

After you have changed your folder options as pierre has explained you then click on search from windows start menu >all files and folders >more advanced options with arrows pointing down > click on the arrows >check search hidden files and folders >then type whatever it is you are looking for.

I hope this helps as well

have you ever tried to apply entire Commander instead of abode windows Explorer? In entire Commander, in Configuration>>thoughts>>show verify the field with "teach hidden data/ Sistem folders"
