I mean lucid dreams too, not "Yeah, I remember something kinda blurry that looked like..... my girlfriend?" I just want to know how many Atheists dream every night and put a modicum of importance on their dreams. Just curious.

Uh.... people, I never said I believe in God did I? Nope, nope don't remember saying that, F.Y.I, I'm an atheist too, but I believe in an afterlife, not God. I asked this for a specific purpose which I'm not going to tell because I really don't want to debate right now, besides, I'm sure I'll be backed into a corner with no way out so to all those who answered, thank you.

You know you should change you name to bright spark.
That's Australian for Idiot.
Everybody dreams. It has nothing to do with religion. It has everything to do with survival.
If we did not dream we would not be able to be happy. And unhappy people make an unhappy world. And an unhappy world means war, and a major increase in crimes, such as suicide bombings.
Course religions tend to have the same effect. A majority of wars are caused by religion. Plus a lot of religious people, (and I am not saying all of you) tend to avoid being genuinely happy, in case there is some sin against it, and they would not want to burn in hell for all of eternity, now would they.
Perhaps beings Agnostic or Atheist is the way to go.

I dream every time I fall asleep and I tend to be influenced by my dreams even if I try to ignore them (in case of night-mares, especially). They usually come in colour and are rather detailed. I remember many of them for years.
I wouldn't say this has to do with my being an atheist, though. Both my parents are atheists, too, but they don't dream very often and definitely don't pay much attention to their dreams.

Actually a lucid dream is when you realize you are asleep and dreaming, and it has happened a couple times to me. It usually takes a lot of work to create that type of dream.

not being an atheist, i cannot answer your question except with the knowledge (and i feel certain that you're aware of this as well) that everyone DREAMS, regardless of faith or lack thereof. few seemed to notice that what you SEEM to be asking is whether atheists attach importance to their dreams, and failed to fully answer the question, and for whatever reason resorted to name calling! ppppffffbbbbtttt!
as for myself, if you'll allow (and what choice do you have? lol) i find some of my dreams to be extremely relevant to my life, my desires, etc., and not necessarily in a spiritual way.

I have had lucid dreams several times. I often recall my dreams as well. It is said that everyone dreams, but it is difficult to recall the dream after you wake up. If that statement is true then we all dream at night.

no, don't dream every night, and when I do the dreams are stupid and funny, like breakfast cereal that comes to life--it's just the subconscious playground

I dream all the time and I place much importance on my dreams. They are the door to your subconcious and it's fascinating what your mind is capable of. But I am guessing that you think your dreams are sent to you by the allmighty. That would explain your "holier than thou" attitude (that SICKENS ME since you're DEAD WRONG) about how your dreams are important and mine aren't.

I'm an atheist, and I dream every night.
Just not about Jesus and the Last Supper.
