Yes, questions about 'how to get rid of the dark eye circles' have been asked, here in Yahoo Answers, in other online places, and we've seen advice on TV.

But what I REALLY REALLY want is the following: ANSWERS from people who actually have EXPERIENCED, someone who has TRIED the solution they are going to advice.

I got tired of hearing do this and do that... I want someone who has tried something and it worked....

CONCLUSION

I want someone to advice me:

Someone who did step 1, 2, 3 and then got rid of the dark circles surrounding their eyes, or at least made them ligther.

Thank you for those who were serious.

Those who weren't, why don't YOU guys try to get off your pc's and get a life?! Seriously!

No, I don't want to use concealer, cuz I do not want to hide the problem... I want to treat it. And anyway, it makes it worse after you remove it.

On vacations and holidays, believe me, I sleep much more than enough... on workdays.. it's pretty much not a choice.

You want someone to "advice" you?

The skin under the eyes is some of the thinnest skin on the body. While you can't really do much about the thickness of the skin around your eyes, you can take steps to lessen the darkness. As mentioned, get plenty of sleep. Use concealer! If you don't wear foundation, get a shade of concealer that matches your skin tone and apply it underneath your eyes. I do that and it works like a charm.

Dark circles under the eyes can be caused by a number of factors and can even be hereditary. If you suffer from hay fever or food allergies you may get dark circles. The shadows can also be the result of a diet that’s high in caffeine, alcohol and/or sugar, instead try including salmon, tuna, more fruits and veggies, plus nuts and olive oil into your diet. In terms of creams to try, Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Anti Shadow Eye Cream, $14.95, is a light gel-crème designed to relieve puffiness and dark circles with its blend of cucumber, magnesium, ginseng and vitamin E. If the circles really worry you, you could try out new miracle product Hylexin, $220! It has already achieved cult status in the USA and Europe for its amazing ability to produce dramatic results within 30 days. Serious under-eye shadows occur when the haemoglobin in the capillary matrix under the eye breaks down. These capillaries literally ‘leak’ blood that begins to oxidise, which in turn creates this dark pigmentation that looks like a bruise under your eyes. Hylexin works by reducing this breakdown of haemoglobin. It’s expensive but this is a highly concentrated formula so it will last you ages.

It’s true that you should use a concealer that’s been specifically formulated for under the eyes. Many concealers for the face are designed to cover blemishes and would be too drying for the delicate eye area. The Body Shop Lightening Touch, $21, is designed to mask the appearance of fine lines and dark shadows around the eyes and on the face. As an added benefit it and can also be used for highlighting brow bones and cheekbones. The Community Trade Ingredients in this product include beeswax (Organic) from Zambia and Marula Oil from Namibia. It’s also a good idea to try and prevent the dark circles in the first place by using an eye cream such as Aqua Sensation Anti Shadow Eye Cream, $14.95. The blend of cucumber, magnesium, ginseng and vitamin E helps to relieve puffiness and shadows

Hey try under eye almond cream which is to be massaged under your eyes before you go to sleep. Or cut 2 slices of potato and keep it on your eyes maybe for 30 minutes daily ..you will see the difference.

I use Clinique All About Eyes Rich eye cream. I let that soak in-pat it on DO NOT RUB. Then I put on concealer under my eyes and tap that to blend it in with a foam wedge. After that, I use loose powder over it and it looks great.

I have had dark circles all my life.....it's genetic. I have tried lots of things, and none of them work. I've just learned to live with it. My daughter is the same way. I finally decided to wear funky glasses because it hides them somewhat. sorry--I don't think there's any way to get rid of them unless you do plastic surgery, and then even then, I don't know.
