You may go to the "hundred islands" that is the best spot to see in pangasinan. Pangasinan's cuisine is also great, you may visit the restaurants in there. I'm sure you will have a relative or a tour guide who can roam you to those beautiful places in pangaisnan.

You will be treated very well, as Filipinos are very hospitable. Pangasinan is a fairly distant place from Manila. As such, the people there are basically related to the Taiwanese Aborigines and have very little or no European admixture (unlike Manila). Pangasinan is famous for its' Hundred Islands National Park in Alaminos town, the unusual rugged Bolinao beaches and sunset in Bolinao town, the rapidly rising tides of Lingayen Gulf in Lingayen town. However, it is most famous for its' historical tourism industry, as many famous Philippine government officials hail from Pangasinan (including former President Fidel Ramos). It was not really included in the current president's plan fo tourism development, as such, don't expect too much first-world tourist amenities there, but the resorts on the aforementioned places are really great. Honestly, Filipinos are very fond of Caucasians so you won't expect any problms there.

Hundred Islands is definitely a must-see. Be sure to order the boneless bangus (milkfish) in the restaurants. Pangasinan is famous for bagoong.

Hey, why you going there? My wife is from there, it is a large province with lots to see. Of course to the west is the coast and lots of nice beaches, with 100 Islands being a must see. I like Dagupan City, lots of shopping there. As far as food, there is no shortage of places. You must try the Bangus (milkfish), which is native there. Also try the roadside oysters, excellent!! THere is a great resort in San Fabian: http://www.philtourism.gov.ph/sfbr_desc.html
Really loved it there, and the food is outstanding and very well priced. Happy trip, Pare. Wish we could email to discuss your trip.
