Ainsley Hayes (Emily Procter) was seen predominately in Season 2 of "The West Wing". She made some appearances in Season 3 but disappeared without so much as an explaination. (My only guess is that she left the show to do "CSI: Miami" with "NYPD Blue" vets David Caruso and Kim Delaney.) The only reference made to her character after Procter's departure from the show was on the Season 4 episode "Evidence of Things Not Seen" where Republican attorney Joe Quincy (Matthew Perry) was hired on as Ainsley's replacement.

Procter did return in the Seventh and final season of the program on the episode "Requiem" at Leo McGarry's funeral and afterwards in a brief scene with C. J. Cregg (Allsion Janney).

Wings didn't play nearly as well as they can, but they still won so that is good. The refs made bad calls and non calls both ways. The Franzen trip that gave the Ducks a 4 on 3 was pansy, the Holmstrom interference on Pronger was pansy. The Beauchemin trip on Hossa was pansy, Hossa just tripped on his own legs. As far as goalie interference... Holmstrom got called, but I didn't really see it. Versus had the worst coverage I've seen in a long time. They never replayed penalties and their camera work was horrible. I do recall Todd Marchant bowling into Osgood and not getting called. So be careful what you wish for. Everyone knows how good Holmstrom is at screening the goalie. His work on Detroit's second goal was masterful and combined with a smart player like Lidstrom its lights out. So here's the deal... Homer is great at this... So why doesn't every team do this. Especially against Detroit. Detroit doesn't have anyone that plays mean in front of the net. Usually its a free pass to get there.

she kind of came and went, but she was a regular character in Series 2 more than any other

Starting with episode 4 - "In This White House"

'after Sam is shown up by an amateur Republican operative on a television program, Jed decides to hire her.'
