Because we support the current Russian administration (Putin), and the Russian administration has labeled Chechnyan rebels as terrorists.

And America is on an anti-terrorism rampage.

If you have read the news in the last few years, you would recall atrocities committed by Chechnyan rebels against private citizens, concerning destroying hospitals, schools and movie theaters with explosives, reported in the American newspapers.

There is also not much information about Al Qaeda participating with the Islamist rebels in Chechnya. Islamists from around the world are flocking there to carve out yet another Islamist territory to become part of the global Caliphate.

The media is not as free to report whatever they want to in Russia or Chechnya. The press does not have the same freedoms that we are used to the having. I don't know were you live but what people think is important in the US and Russia are different.

Because the United States only messes around and overthrows foreign governments and leaders when they are no longer useful to the U.S. or they are closely equal in a world war threat as if you bomb us we will bomb you and then no-one wins.
