My daughter contracted a terminal illness at 10 weeks of age, and died just after her first birthday. Anyway, when she died, all her health professionals said that she should have only lived until six months of age but because of the care I gave her, I had her until she was one. We fitted five to ten years of memories into that short year and I thought I cud'nt have had anything better said to me at such a horrific time. Guilt is a huge factor in grief, but I was spared this because of that comment because I could'nt possibly have done any more than I did. It meant a lot.

I am not going to anything said by lovers, family or friends.
I was told "you are like a breath of fresh air". I have never forgotten this or the woman who told me. I was at a very low point in my life and had to get counseling when my marriage was on the rocks. She was my counselor and I had cried on her shoulder so many times. I said "I'm sure that you must be fed up with me always moaning and groaning about how my life is falling apart'. That's what she said back. I will never forget her for those kind words.

It was recent.
It was my boss.
He called me into the office and asked me how it was going( I was recently promoted)
He told me I was doing a fantastic job; that the clients loved me, and I had turned our little unit into a force to be reckoned with;
I left walking on air; the previous incumbent of the post had been very efficient, if a little cold in her dealings with people.

My husband once said to me:
"You are a challenge as irresistible as Mt. Everest, and the best part is that I'll never come to the end of you."
(Yes, I'm MADLY in love with him, needless to say.)

Some one mentioned this to me after I had given some advice
" You know Soni, I can always depend on you for anything and you are always very rationale and fair. I am glad that you are my friend"
This statement had actually driven me more to help others.
Good Luck

My son saying " I love you mummy".....before he tries to squeeze in a sneaky demand for a cookie! Hmph
"I love you my sexy goddess!" - says my man. So cheesy but makes me smile.
My grandmother "Your an angel" (if only she knew huh?? haha)
You don't always need words and just give the person you care a big HUG!

My boss said I was a wealth of useless information...which I took to mean I know a lot about a lot of things!
A lot of ppl say I have taught them something. And when one person says it, somebody else says...she taught me something too. That's how I distribute my wealth!

Could quote many, but the best is a genuine "thank you"
That means a lot in this day and age.

Aside from the times women have expressed love I recall a loving statement, "How do you think it would feel if we laid on the bed together?" it felt very loving.
