Hi,Pond dude,
Do what I do- I get my milkman to write 'Marmite' on the top of each bottle.

No what you do is take an old milk crate, 5 knitting needles, a lngth of rope and some springs. Use these to make a trap and leave it by your milk thus using darwins theory of evolution and making sure that all birds that drink your milk don't get to tell their mates about it! The other bonus to this is you don't end up poisoning yourself in the process

mean person - when I used to have milk delivered with a foil top on and the birds used to do that I always found it endearing, why don't you try bringing your milk in earlier or make a box and have your milkman put it in there - why be so drastic and want to posion the wildlife??? pathetic person. hope someone poisons you!

Are you living in Mayberry? What's up with that? Great Idea, then the birds will leave the poisoned milk alone, so your kids can enjoy it on their cocoa pufs! - lol

I don't think so, anyway whats to say it would't poison you either.
Maybe find a piece of wood and put that on top of the bottles or a small storage box and explain to the milkman to put the bottles in that.

Leave a small box big enough to cover your bottles out with a note to the milkman to cover your bottles with it. This simple solution will avoid having to poison anything or anyone.

Maybe they could use plastic caps, it would be harder for the birds to get through. Just an idea mind...

Since it's cream, and thus full of fat, just let the birds drink until their arteries get clogged and they all die of apoplexy.
