~Ditto what Martin said. Better still, save the time and trouble and open a book. Or, if you are held captive by your computer, log onto Wikipedia or some other such resource and look it up.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ( the actual and correct full name of the place) is, since the subjugation of Scotland, Wales and Ireland (North), with England, a single nation-state. Over the years, and through the present, that nation has conquered and subjugated numerous other places as well. However, places like India, Gibraltar Canada and the 'American' colonies were not independent nation states while under British rule, they were territories over which the British Empire ruled. Then there are the protectorates, such as Palestine.
When you re-write the question, give some thought to that which you are intending to ask. Again, it would be so much easier on you (and so much more meaningful and worthwhile for you - not that that is even a concern, I would guess) if you did your own homework and learned to research.

2 kingdoms (England and Scotland), 1 principality (Wales), 1province(Northern Ireland) form the present state of the UK
Acts of union, Wales 1530s, I think. Scotland 1706, Ireland (the whole of Ireland, most of which is now the republic) 1801.
The 1660s was the restoration of the monarchy, not the industrial revolution.

in the beginning, England isn't the united kingdom, it is an element of the united kingdom - calling the completed united states of america "England" is as stupid as calling California "america". Secondly, whilst "the united kingdom of large Britain and (Northern) eire" has purely been the formal call of the rustic considering 1801 (from 1707, no longer which contains eire, it grow to be the "Kingdom of large Britain", and until eventually now that it grow to be the separate "Kingdom of england" and "Kingdom of Scotland"), the term "uk" or "united crowns" grow to be used by way of King James VI of Scotland while he grew to grow to be James I of england in 1603, so the term is plenty older than the u . s . a ..
