I used to be a staunch democrat, I even contributed to "People for the American way" -still have an old membership card. I used to send contribution to the campaigns of Clinton, Gore, Mark Warner and anybody who was running against Jessie Helms of South Carolina. Now I side with the Republicans because they are more pro-American and even though I was always pro affirmative action and such I have always been more for a strong defense of the USA than for anything else. I perceive my former fellow democrats as somewhat unpatriotic and borderline traitors. Clinton really turned me off from him when he said: It depends what the definition of "is" is
