I was pulling for Brian Rolston with 2 goals (two slapshot goals no less!) and 2 assists (also +5, many shots... whatever). But I figured Rick Nash would win it also with 2Gs and 2As and he also played well and was always a presence. Does anyone disagree with Daniel Briere? So what with all the assists? He was on the losing team!

Personally I could not believe that Briere got it. My draw dropped when they announced him. I would have went with Nash, I think that he deserved it.
There are three people that I would have considered for it, that is
Havlat who had 2 goals.
Nash and Rolsten which had 2 goals and 2 assist a piece.
But I guess that is why we are not the ones in there deciding which player to give the award to. : )

Well I wont lie I was pulling for Sakic. He played decent though. Die hard Avs fan.

Daniel Briere won the MVP on a losing team but that doesn't mean he didn't deserve it. He played hard and tried to bring the East back into the game. If anybody else on the East would have won then there would be a reason to argue. Five points out of nine points is pretty good though with all those superstars around him.

I don't know if it is as political as it is getting. They may have just given it to Briere as the guy with the most points.

But MVP to the guy who successfully lead his team on to loose doesn't hold well with me.

How about Sakic? Got sufficient points to put himself in the All Star record book. Rick Nash 2 goals and 2 assists. But Briere comes from a winning team, and Nash a loosing team - even though the roles were reversed in the All Star game, I think those deciding MVP had where they came from in mind.

thoroughly agree that Nash deserved the MVP. Breaking an all time all action picture star record with a purpose 12 seconds in and recording the only hat trick of the game must be recognized. some people would say that the West lost so the MVP must have come from the East, yet that curiously doesnt count number number searching on the previous. i believe the stunning 4 years the MVP has lengthy gone to the dropping crew. Nash had some good possibilities for a 4th purpose even. If it wasnt going to be Nash, i assumed Nabokov would were alright to win it. He became fantastic! Staal? i became very shocked and upset even as they presented that. you adult adult males are precise who say it would not extremely count number number, even though it is an honor to be named MVP of the all action picture star recreation, and Nash one hundred% deserved it over anybody esle available!

It's not always about who wins or who scores the most goals, it's about who puts in the most effort. Briere was the best player on the East, and that's saying something considering he had guys like Crosby and Ovechkin around him. He made great plays for guys to score goals and worked really hard. It's done and over with so just be happy for the guy...he deserves it considering how far he has come in his career!

I hoped Rick Nash would've won, but that's because I'm a Bluejackets fan. I was just happy Risk got a point, but 4 points was awesome. I'm happy that the West won, and they talked the East up big time.
Briere hustled and kicked some, even thought the East lost the goal fest. They did find the best overall effort of the night.

Briere deserved it, All-Star games aren't bias like they are in regular season games for the home team when the home team players have a better chance of getting a Star 1,2 or 3.

Um like who cares? If Ovechkin and Crosby didn't suck, Briere would have had twice as many points.

lets not disrespect anyone you made a valid point on the other players.--briere had the most points(5) to everyone so let it go.--he deserved it ,so lets not minimalize it.
