What songs would you prefer they play to represent the poor Aussies?

I'm in Ireland, btw!

I think all Aussies would say that they are pretty happy with a bit of Men At Work's classic Land Downunder. I know I am. But if I had to choose another song I would have to go with Bloke written and sung by the ever so talented Chris Franklin.

"I'm a Bloke,
I'm a Yobbo,
and my best mates name is Robbo,
Watching footy on TV,
Bring me some more VB!!"

Cheers Chris Franklin and HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!!!

Lizzie - from a Pom to an Aussie.
You have great music taste.
Icehouse (rather, Iva Davies) are the most underrated band ever.
Iva is a genius!
The words of Great Southern Land are so appropriate.
Happy Australia Day to Aussies everywhere!

Maybe those lovely Australians might like something by Kylie or Savage Garden, guess anything upbeat to get their parties going today will be great, can't wait to go there myself at Easter and hope I here 'I come from a land down-under', while I'm there as I love that song, have a good day today in beautiful Ireland, your lucky living there its a beautiful place.

No. BCCI shall not let the Indian team avoid Sri Lanka Cricket right now, for the Triangular ODI series 2008. A Triangular ODI Tournament begins on 02 Feb, 2008 & India shall move ahead & face Sri Lanka. Umpires, umpires, make many mistakes however, India shall face Sri Lanka on Independence day (Feb 4th in America & Canada). The Triangular ODI Tounament must resume between India, Sri Lanka, & Australia.

" Great Southern Land " by Ice House
I don't particularly like the other song either but many Aussies do. so it's inevitable that it gets airplay and is used as background music for every media report.
How did you like the media campaign that caused such a storm in a teacup last year? I mean the ad where the bikini clad girl asks
" Where the bl,,,,dy hell are ya ?"

It was a hit by the Australian group Men at Work, so I guess it should be okay, most Australian singers such as Kylie, Jason sang your usual pop stuff not referring to their homeland.
