If you are a teen and your period started not too long ago for the first time, then this is normal. It will be patchy and sometimey when first starting up. Do nothing and just wait for it.
If not see a doctor.

If this is the first time you have this, you need to do a few blood tests to check level of your hormones...To have a normal menstrual cycle you should have a normal Uterus, normal Ovaries and normal pituitary gland...If you had periods before it is less likely that the problem is from your uterus, so you need to investigate other causes either in your ovaries or pituitary gland....Sometimes if you are very very thin and active you might not have periods for three months, sometimes if you are overweight you might have a condition called PCOD and that might be the cause and sometimes If you have a problem in your pituitary and have high Prolactin hormone you might not have periods....so it is better to see an Endocrinologist.

yah u may have PCOD or PCOS which is due to hormone imbalance controlled by your pituary gland.
your condition is not so serious ,mine is worse around 8 months and i am still a virgin . after seeing the doctor he said there are no risk in the short term but if u are worried u should get an ultrasound to check the risk of ovarian cancer if ur utereus linning is too thick..

just dont worry first, it will come but after some time u feel that it still have not come , u better see the gynae and have your hormone level checked.

Patty, its time for you to see a gynocologist. It will be uncomfortable, yes, but it could be serious if you go for months without your menstrual period. However, this could be stress related. Try to spend a week or so relaxing... I'm not saying you need a vacation *you miiight!!!*, but spend your evenings in comfort! Mentally de-stress, and get a good night's sleep... if that doesn't regulate you, see your GYN immediately.
