Alright I had a m/c a little over 6 weeks ago. This was my second one so I knew what to expect. I was planning on waiting three cycles before I started to ttc again. Now im one of those people who are like, oh im a day late lets take a preg test. So I got the idea to do it tonight. It came up a faint positive. Is that even possible to be pregnant that soon after a m/c or could it be left over hormones from the previous pregnancy? I was only 5-6 weeks along when I m/c. I dont get it, the first m/c I had was Sept of 05 and it took a year to get pregnant again, and this time 6 weeks?? Anyway with the weekend around the corner I cant see a doctor until later, so any advice would be great.

It is always possible that there are "leftover" hormones in your body that may be causing this faint positive. Or you may not have secreted all of the products of conception from your last pregnancy. I have worked in the gynecology field for 10 years and this is a common occurance. I would contact your OB/GYN and ask them to run a blood test called a Quantitative HCG. This test can measure the exact amount of pregnancy hormone that is in your body. This can tell the doctor if this is leftover or residual hormones or new hormones. Usually this test has to be repeated 48 hours after the intial test is performed so that they can see if the hormone level has doubled. If it is doubling then you are pregnant. If it stays the same then your doctor will have to discuss options of how to get that hormone level to go down so that you can start trying again.

Even if they can't see you in the office they may order this bloodtest for you to have over the weekend.

Hi there, sorry to hear of your two miscarriages. You may be pregnant it is possible but it could also be that your hcg levels haven't returned to normal. I think only a doctor can help you with your question. You would need to have a blood test to find out exactly what's going on. Good luck .

It could be leftover hcg hormones, or a pregnancy. Give it a little bit of time. Our uteruses are made to carry babies, so our bodies will do it as much as they can. Strange how it works. I misscarried, and took almost 2 years to concieve again. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I have been given pregnant with my son interior a month after my third miscarriage so it is carefully a danger you will possibly be able to desire to be pregnant lower back. you ought to pass to your OB/GYN for a blood attempt to ascertain to work out if the hormones are from the miscarriage or from a clean being pregnant. even have your physician examine your progesterone stages to work out in the event that they are low...this may be a reason for many miscarriages.
