hi hun , >>>> firstly try and understand that to teach someone to drive with ones own vehicle is a chance that someone takes
in case of an accident , in case the vehicle breaks down due to your inexperienced driving skills , and above all -
your boyfriends vehicle insurance DOES NOT COVER ANY
LIABILITY CAUSED BY ANYONE IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT
THAT MAY BE THE DRIVER OF HIS VEHILCE AT THE TIME AN ACCIDENT MAY OCCUR .
Other than the registered drivers of any vehicle owner , it is illegal to drive - any ones vehilce with being registered on the insurance - so if u drive anyones vehile , u are driving without insurance - if you cause an accident , you can face a heavy fine or /and imprisonment - I SUGGEST YOU FIND OUT THE LEGAL
RESPONSIBILITIES OF BEING A DRIVER BEFORE U EVEN LEARN TO DRIVE - And Hun , dont take short -cuts - plse go to a driving school , do it the right way for YOUR SAKE AND THE SAKE OF EVERYONE ELSE
Now - you could ask your B/f to help you financially to take the driving course - thats a different issue -
I am sure one day you shall have your licence and own vehicle
I dont believe you shall than be willing to allow anyone get on your drivers seat ?
Your boyfriend does not ant to hurt your feelings and say it is not possible , but trust me , he is looking out for YOU and Himself
WHICH IS THE BEST THING HE IS DOING .
Hope this helps you understand that he is not making excuses
He loves you deeply - he cannot let u risk driving His vehicle without insuarance . At a registered driving school , You are insured to drive the driving school car as the registered driving student .

How did you get to be 22 and not ever drive a car? Most people actually start learning to drive at age 13 (in empty parking lots and on dirt roads). Your mom or dad or grandparent or aunt/uncle never taught you?

If your bf does not teach you to drive pretty soon then it just means that he is keeping you from *growing up* and it means that he is trying to dominate you, control you and keep you from having any freedom. If you can't drive, you can't get yourself to work/doctor/grocery store, etc.

If you can't drive then you can't leave and go somewhere. Perhaps your bf prefers you being isolated and home-bound?

If he does not teach you to drive soon, then you need to go to the nearest high school and sign up for driver's education classes. They will teach you the rules of the road, and how to drive a car. Seriously, you need to think about going to drivers education class, and you also seriously need to ask yourself WHY has your bf not taught you yet? Is he trying to control you and keep you from having the freedom of an adult?

If you search your mind and find that he is indeed trying to control you to the point of not having any freedom then you might want to think about LEAVING HIM!

Good Luck and God Bless, hun

You should try to find someone else to help you learn how to drive. Maybe he's not the best person to teach you (depending upon how patient he is).

Alternatively, maybe you can pick a good time to sit down with him and express that you are disappointed that he keeps promising to teach you to drive and doesn't follow through. Try to find out why he won't follow though though, there may be some reason that maybe he doesn't want to tell you because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

Just a thought.

Get your Mom or Dad aside and tell them that you need transportation to take a drivers course. Don't become dependent on a boyfriend to show you anything. If you can stand alone on this, he will admire the fact that you had enough strength to pursue your goal without him. Less neediness and more independence can be very attractive. Surprise him!

He gets mad at you? Doesn't sound like a thoughtful boyfriend to me.

Even though guys offer to help out, they usually try to avoid doing anything troublesome. Don't push him on this. I think it would be best if you could take driving lessons instead and keep this seperate from your relationship.

you dun have to wait for him to teach you. Have self- initiative: learn it yourself. You can start by earning some money an them enroll in a driving shool. When you achieved the lisence yourself indepenently, i am sure he would be proud.

I've almost the same problem before..before married ,my husband always keep his promised and wont simply promise me if he cant make it.after married ,he became forgetfull and promised me easily because he knew im always forgetfull..so if i remember the promised and angry with him because he cant make it ,he'll promise other things to make me happy.
After i found out ,i spent more time with him but PRETEND not believe him anymore and often forget my promises to him too..
Now..sometimes he still forget something ,maybe too busy on work but at least he wont dare to promised easily to me unless he can make it for sure

He sounds like an *** and I would leave him. Anyone who would get mad over something so small definitely has issues. This is a red flag!

Take charge yourself. Either go to a driving school or find someone else who is willing to help you learn.

If I were you, I would go to a 'driver's education' class, where you will be taught by a PROFESSIONAL. Your boyfriend may be a 'good driver' but it is NEVER a good idea to be taught something THIS IMPORTANT by someone who is not a 'professional driving teacher' ...
