it was working then out of no where just stopped and little speaker icon thats by clock no longer there

check in the device manager and make sure it is still detected... if so, reinstall the drivers for the sound card... if not have it check for new hardware then try reinstallation of drivers. Also make sure that you have no yellow flags cause by hardware conflicts

See that the sound driver is properly installed. You can find the driver on the motherboard disc. Just insert the disc and install the sound card driver. If the problem persist then you may have to reinstall the window or format the disk.

So, first try to install the driver personally, if u r successful then its ok. but if it doesn't work, I will suggest to consult a professional in this field.

- make sure the speaker is still connected, maybe it was unplug..
- try to re-install the audio card driver..
- i've experience that from the bios, someone disable my audio card so it isn't working anymore..
coz from my experience if the icon is missing.. it means that the computer is no longer detect your audio card...

go to start > run then write this command %SystemRoot%\system32\sndvol32.exe and it will appear
