osama was Saudi... most of the terrorists were Saudi...
they do a little raid every now and then to keep the U.S. happy... but truth be told... the majority of the Saudi people don't like the U.S.... the king knows we're his meal ticket though... so he smiles and nods and tries to do a little to keep us happy... but not too much, so he doesn't piss off the people too bad...
I would almost bet...if you talked to "average joe" on the street in Saudi and Iran... Iran would have a more positive view of America...
Saudi is the HOMELAND of Islam and the holiest of holy lands for the religion... and the extremists will of course flock to such a special place... and they do...
this question is the 500 pound gorilla in the room that no one wants to talk about...

You asked the million dollar question. The USA has been trying for years to get Saudi to step up and take a stand for a democratic Iraq, however, Saudi Arabia is a monarchy and they do not like democracies. They say they are our friends but they aren't. They want USA to protect them in case of war with extremists but won't do diddly to help us now. We must help them because they supply a great deal of our oil and give us the best prices. The Saudi can't take a direct stand for the USA because they are Muslims in the number one area of Muslims and if they went against their own they would be in a middle of a war with Shiites. The Saudis are walking a tightrope and it is a difficult balancing act. They should offer troops and money to help us but they won't.

the Saudis go through the motions but as the people they are seeking are usually their own countrymen who are well connected and well financed.ie Bin Laden nothing will ever come of it.
the Saudis must be laughing their guts out, with allies like them why would America need enemies?

What exactly is an American extremist as Americans make up many religions such as Islam. Don't confuse politics and religions. It is up to religious leader at the grass roots level to educate their followers, not the government.

Because the term "radical" is subjective. You think females wearing long cloth is radical and extreme. We don't. If a man Dedicates his life to Allah through suicide, it is taught that he will receive 75 women in heaven for life. How can you compete with that mindset?

I would have to agree with Gaspode...Watch the "Lord of War" with Nicholas Cage. They are not doing nearly enough to stop Bin Laden, because the US doesn't WANT them to stop. Look at how much Chaney has made because of this war... Or just look at the oil companies...they don't want it to stop!

Because the worst of all Muslims is still better than the best of all infidels so they can't quite condemn acts against the infidels.
