If Brandy was driving recklessly, which may be the case since she was speeding, she could be charged with vehicular manslaughter. If she was negligent in her actions by being careless in the manner she was driving, then she could be charged with negligent homicide. The former charge would be a felony and could carry prison time, as a penalty. The latter charge would be a misdemeanor, which could carry jail time as a penalty. Given Brandy's celebrity status and clean criminal record, I doubt she does any time in custody. If charged, I see her pleading guilty and being placed on probation with a fine and perhaps some community service as a penalty.

It was an accident, sad, terrible event...but still an accident. Her insurance company will have to pay out some major bucks, fer sure, depends on the judge/jury as to what more she'll have to do.

Either jail time or a big settlement for the dead victim's family. I'm sure she felt very bad for what happened. Who doesn't? Matter of life and death here.
