FREE? Going to the beach... Friday evening fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Every Saturday and Sunday evening, there is something called "Sunset on the Beach", where you get to watch a G-rated movie right on the sand of Waikiki Beach. Pearl Harbor is a must, Punchbowl as well. Go around the Island, and see pro surfers on the North Shore take on 10-50ft waves. There are many hiking trails. Art galleries are fun so are arboretums. Window shopping? Take a picture in front of the Kamehameha Statue in the CBD. Go to Nuuanu Pali Lookout.

That's all I can think of...

Get back to the basics!

Go to the beach. Take some buckets and shovels for children to play with. I remember as a child, I would have hours of fun playing at that beach. Playing in the ocean can be fun too. Take some rafts and stuff. The waves are not high in Waikiki.

There is a mountain, I think it's called Diamondhead Mountain that is really neat to visit. You can go inside dark caves, so bring a flashlight. Big historical sight from WWII and also great views.
