I'm not asking for myself i already am 12 weeks pregnant its for my younger cousin. She is 17 and married but her husband doesn't produce sperm and she was wondering if you could get invitro at the age of 18. Now please don't go saying they are too young because believe me everyone has told her that. AND i would rather her do it this way then go out and sleep with a random guy that has some weird std. All answers are greatly appreciated.

I don't think there's a minimum age requirement, but I think at that young of an age, a doctor may try other treatments first. She should consult a reproductive endocrinologist to find out what her next steps should be. IVF is very expensive though. It can cost anywhere from $12k- $20k, so they should be prepared if that's the route they choose to take. Good luck!

As long as she has eggs, there is no reason that she can't have in vitro. She needs to call around and see if the doctors have a problem with this, but I would think that as long as she is willing to pay they will do perform the procedure. I wish her the best of luck.
