What the hell is a windscreen? I've heard of windshield's and screen's you can put behind other glass panels in a vehicle to block the sun, etc.. ask the car dealer, or local auto body shop for professional help since you clearly can't identify a body panel.

Car dealer is way wrong on this one.!! DON'T TAKE IT TO A DEALER. Look for a shop that replaces auto windshields,ask them about a new technology of fixing the window.What is glass made of?Mostly sand...!! The new age of auto repair will fix it without the costly replacement of the whole thing.If the scratch isn't to deep it can be fixed instead of replaced.I did it for three years and never knew anything about this before I applied for the position in the paper.Check it out.

If the scratch on the windscreen is deep
than you are going to have to have a new window, because that one will so break.
