I like phone calls, find it easy to talk to them and joke around with them. I hear the emotion of friends on the phone.

emails, because I have a few Rain Man qualities. A phone call you're expected to be clear and concise straight from the beginning. People talking with me even face to face have a lot of difficulty understanding me. That's with all the nuances of inflection in the voice plus the body language non verbal signals. On a phone it is much worse,

Only thing I know about Rain Man is it's based on a real person, not a composite done by a scriptwriter. That and people keep comparing me to it.

I have to watch the movie some day to figure out what they mean.

Well the wife says that I have a very sexy phone voice, but I prefer to send emails, I can express myself better in the written form.

This is interesting, because I prefer E-Mails people seem sweeter when they write to you, and over the phone sometimes you don't really know how to picture someone, how they truly feel, because sometimes we judge wrong, it's nothing personal, but it can become just because of the tone of the voice at the moment can confuse me... I prefer not to talk to anyone when I feel like not talking because of how some of my days can be heck-tick, and I tend to send the wrong message. I guess bitchy, when not, just sound like it because I will be short, and bold...

I prefer emails. I'm a bit hard of hearing and have difficulty with listening to people on the phone. Emails are more practical for me... even though I am anal about spelling. LOL!

Depends for what. I really hate talking on the telephone, but it is a necessary evil now a days. E mails are just fine for most things. The less interaction with people the better. Although for some people I might change my view point.

Depending on local or oversea calls. I prefer phone call because I communicate more locally. Try skype. E-mail would be more suitable for business use. Sometimes, reply from sender is important to keep as future reference or evidence.

Phone, of course. I learned of my mother's suicide from my older sister by email and I still haven't forgiven her for that. Email is far too cold and impersonal for any message that involves emotions. In fact, for emotional things face-to-face is the way to go, where practical.

:-(

Phone calls for sure....I wouldn't want someone to e-mail me and tell me there was a death in my fam. Personal stuff like that is too deep. Besides we need to keep in touch with the world some how besides just technology.
