No, it won't affect the baby at all unless she doesn't properly take care of her teeth, and gets bacteria in her mouth. She should just make sure to clean her teeth well, and not let her orthodontist take any x-rays if she goes in for a check-up.

The braces themselves do not affect the baby however she may be more prone to bleeding gums.

braces don't effect the baby but u need to keep brushing your teeth because that does help the baby inside of you. my doc told me that.
