I promise, if I haven't seen it, I will watch your recommendations.

My favourite movie of all time is "Some Like It Hot" with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon who choose to dress in drag in an effort to escape mobsters in Chicago because the witnessed the St. Valetine's Day massacre. It's from the 50's and also stars Marilyn Monroe. It's hysterical, with great dialog and directed by the great Billy Wilder.

Any Asian horror movie, especially the ones by Takashi Miike (Audition). Instead of just offering cheap scares like most of our horror movies these days, theirs are more creepy because they go deep into the human psyche and stuff and really make you think and you're still kind of bugged out a bit after the movie's over.

Bottle Rocket by Wes Anderson flew under the radar when it came out but made several top ten lists for best movies of the nineties. I love that movie.

Audition and Ju-on. Audition is the creepiest movie I've ever seen. it's Japanese. Ju-on is the japanese version of the grudge. I can't imagine that the American one could possibly be scarier.
