For me,real friendship include the following: Mutual trust, mutual loyalty, sincerety, respecting the other person, accepting the friend as is, not wanting to change someone, being honest and sincere, also being able to talk about everything, being there for the other person especially when the other person is in need, appreciation for the friendship, real friendship does not know any borders, also being able to say sorry and really mean it if a conflict did arise and one did unwantingly hurt the other, and being kind with eachother.

Not everyone has the same definition of friendship. To me, friendship is like a bond close to that of a family member, except without all the holiday drama. Sometimes friends can be better than family. Their opinions don't hurt as much. A friend will be there no matter what. Oh, and when I say friend, I mean a true friend not a weekend friend.

A real friend knows absolutely everything (good and bad) about you and is still willing to stand up for you. Of course to have a great friend you have to be willing to be a great friend. I have a fantastic friend. I haven't always agreed with everything she's done and I certainly don't agree with everything she thinks, says or does, but I'll take on anyone that says bad things about her. She has taken care of me and my kids in bad times and I will do the same (and have done) for her. We've laughed and cried together, talked about big and small things, worked side by side and played. She lives some distance away now but we talk on the phone and e-mail all the time. we'll always be best friends.

what a good question.. i think friendship is being there for them ,sticking up for them when people are trying to put them down and excepting them for who or what they are no matter what and not worrying about who will say something if you hang out with each other , trying to help them with a problem even if you don't have a lot of time or you don't know what to say , and listening to what they are saying no matter if you agree with them or not. the problem is there is not a lot of real friends out there anymore that's why i only really have associates to must jealousy, envy, and backstabbing . if you have a good friend keep them

I would say "acceptance". But acceptance begins with yourself. If you can truly accept yourself as you are, warts and all, and learn to love and honor yourself, then you can make friends, have relationships and be successful in life. Accepting yourself is first, then you can accept others. Friendship, or any relationship, requires acceptance by both parties.

Someone who you can tell all your secrets to and they are there for the good times and the bad. They laugh with you, cry with you and are happy for you when something great happens, they celebrate with you! =)
