My son switched to feeding Canidae, as it is made from all human grade ingredients, because his daughter wouldn't stay out of the pet food!
If you want to eat dog treats, just make sure they are a premium brand...lol
I remember a story in Reader's Digest, many years back..about children stopping on the way home from school to eat the cookies from ol Missus Jones...when one of the kids brought one home for his mom, Mom discovered that they were dog biscuits!

I always try my dogs food and treats before feeding it to them. I figure that if they like the food I eat so much then I will see if I like theirs. I know if I like theirs, then they will.
My friend when she was pregnant craved dog treats. And when my little girl went to grab for a milk bone when she was well little- I'd just tell her good girl. It wouldn't make a difference if I told her no or not- she'd just sneak to get one later.
Dog treats won't harm you- I just wouldn't base your diet on them.

Unfortunately the ingredients used in most dog treats are not suitable for human consumption. They have not undergone the same inspections that human foods do. Alot of time, horsemeat and chicken byproducts such as beaks and feet are used. I am not kidding. I have done alot of research on dog foods as I had a dog with heart problems and had to be super careful what she ate. I would definitely recommend NOT eating dog treats.

I have no clue. I had a childhoo-friend once who did eat dog-treats. She said she really liked eating them. Otherwise I could not help you further with this question.

hahaha, no, we bought these dog treats that look just like regualr cookies, even had the same packaging and my dad took one and took a bite, hence he didn't know they were dog treats (they even smelt like cookies) and I told them and he looked at the cookie and said "really? They taste just like cookies" and nothing happened to him. Dog treats contain all the same ingredients that is in people food, it sometimes just contains more fibers or other ingredients to keep the animal healthy. But nothing harmful.

I've actually met people that ate them when they were young kids, mainly milk bones I think. I'd never eat my dogs treats.

dog treats won't hurt a human, but obviously one shouldn't go stuffing his face full of dog biscuits. the dog jerky is pretty good actually, try it

Ive been told that people can get worms that dogs are immune to from eating dog treats. Supposedly you can get worms from eating raw spaghetti. I was told these things when I was young, so it could be older people keeping kids from eating that crap. Good luck, hope you dont get worms.
