...if they ask a question that is completely stupid and ignorant? For example if a 14 year old girl who likes some boy asks, "I like this boy, but he wore a pink shirt yesterday... is he gay?" Is it okay that I feel totally superior and to make fun of her for seriously asking that question?

To elaborate, if you feel it's ok for me to make fun of someone who asks a dumb question, then you can absolutely make fun of me...
If you think it's wrong... then no you cannot.

I can't stand when people do that. I think people should be able to ask what they want on here (unless it's hurtful/degrading/threatening another person). I myself have asked questions that would fall under stupid/immature at the very least (ex: how can I tell if she likes me?) but it's because I'm new to this and genuinely don't know what I'm doing, and am looking for advice from the more experienced. People take themselves way too seriously and just come off as pompous and annoying when they get all huffy puffy and bent out of shape because a person asks a question they don't think is up to their superior standards.

Only behind their backs!! In general you should be conciderate of people's feelings. If you made fun of someone, would you hurt their feelings?
Pink is totally 'in' right now... I see more straight men wearing pink than gay men. I think gay men are a little cautious from attracting this sort of obvious attention.

How about we make fun of YOU for asking such an idiotic moronic question?
She's only fourteen. As far as she's concerned, it's an honest question. If she got that kind of reaction from everyone for every question she had, chances are it can have a long term affect on her willingness to ask in order to learn...
But in this case, you've must have given her the impression that you're an authority on gays

Are you saying that gay men aren't more likely to wear pink shirts?
Is it wrong to make fun of you?

There are no such things as stupid questions - only stupid answers. Ok - that's not entirely true... but it's still better to ask something if you don't know than to pretend you DO know and look like a bigger idiot.
So basically, if it's a legitimate question - ie, they genuinely don't know - then don't make fun. Rather educate.

Go ahead and make fun fo the stupid 14 year old! lol
Asking if someone is *gay* because they wear a pink shirt is a totally immature and yucky thing to say. (the colour of our clothes don't make people gay or straight) So, yes, please, make fun of the stupid 14 year old girl! And Have Fun At Her Expense! lol
Take Care and *hugs*

Heh, the Japanese comment made me laugh.
I laugh at some of my friends for being ignorant about gays. It's really funny how any time someone does anything a little feminine, they always ask me, "Is he gay???" because I've never been wrong. But I laugh at them too.
Personally, I think it's okay for me to laugh at them at how little they know about the gay world and how diverse it really is.

Yes, it's wrong.
Give anyone younger than 35 major breaks for mental lapses.
I think men in pink shirts are hot, particularly straight guys.

If it is a legitimate question from a naive person the it is wrong, but I think I know what you mean. Some of the questions seem so far fetched that they sound like more of a put on and asking for far fetched answers.

If an adult asked that, without a doubt go off on them but I don't know if a 14 year old (I have one) would purposely ask something in a mean way, BUT if they did I'd go off on their parents for racing them so badly
