I have an Acer Aspire laptop, running Windows XP, and lately my keyboard is very slow. I have to hold down each key for 1-2 seconds. VERY annoying, as I mostly use it to type. I've tried adjusting the keyboard settings in the control panel, to no avail. HELP! Thanks.

Unless the keybord is dirty, (under the keys not making a cood contact.) then its your o.s. Maybee cluttered with pics, files, music, videos.. Lots of computers slow down, you type adn you have to stop and wait for it to catch up or not at all and seems like you have to pound on the keybord.. its not always the keybord. I would try cleaning up the drive first before dropping a bunch of money into a new keybord for it. Defrag, scan disk, disk clean up , burn or save files to usb flash drive aka jumpdrive, or disks..

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me on the e-mail address on my site. Let me know how it goes!

ok, it may be due to various reasons. it may be
1) your keyboard is dirty (eg the old mouse, the user must clean the inner part of the mouse)
2) maybe your LP is infected by virus.
3) you might have a weak RAM
4) maybe you turn on too many browser while your are using the LP (you open too many program)
5)maybe your keyboard setting is wrong, try to consult the computer wizard on the correct setting.
6) if it still doesn't work, then you should take it for service.
