My friend's daughter got lightheaded and fell then had a seizure. Hosptial discharged her. When she got home she had another seizure, and bit her tongue. What kinds of things could be going on with her? She's almost five months pregnant and in excellent health

She went back to the hospital in the ambulance, again, and they are doing tons of tests on her.

It sounds like full-blown ecclampsia, but there could be other reasons for it. She may need to remain in the hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy, or they may be able to give her medication for the seizures, depending on the cause.
Sometimes, pregnant women who are otherwise healthy will develop certain health conditions that occur only during pregnancy. Occasionally, they will remain after the baby is born.

She could have preeclampsia. They will probably give her magnesium to stop the seizures......

I hope she and the baby will be all right.Have she been checked for epilepsy?
