The Christian Evangelicals, 40 million strong, as their leadership reported in "Faith and Nation" last fall, advocate the violent overthrow of the U.S. government if their fanatical agenda is not made into legislation. They are training for war, even training their children to kill anyone who has not accepted their faith. Look up the Jesus Camp video and be ready to get sick to your stomach. Evangelicals have permeated the Pentagon and those who express any concern about a few Evangelical generals who now want a "Christian" based U.S. military force, are reassigned far away from the Pentagon and Washington, D.C. as reported here on Yahoo News. Evangelicals and Bush are aligned, and after the Evangelical leader, Ted Haggard was outed as a meth-head and adulterer, Bush continued to stand by those fanatics. This nation was founded on the principles of democracy and a common ground for all of us. It was NOT founded on any one's particular set of sensibilities or pet religion. Pilgrims came to this new world to ESCAPE the religion imposed upon them by states. The very first common accord among people from Europe in this new world was the Mayflower Compact which was an agreement to tolerate each others religious beliefs and to not impose them on each other. The original pilgrims and settlers who came here were sent by greedy rich who paid for the Pilgrims passages and expeditions to find GOLD, not God. The first Pilgrims BANNED Christmas celebrations of all kinds for a generation because it was pagan. "In God We Trust" was never on our currency until 1954 when religious fanatics, all heated up and musky over McCarthyism hatefullness and fascism forced the slogan on the rest of the people of this nation. How would we remove a threat to this nation like these new terrorists? Be vigilant. Talk with your congressmen and women. Identify them in your neighborhoods. Vote against political candidates who receive money from them or pander for their vote. They have announced that they mean the rest of us and this nation harm.

Every body has there own beliefs and I will not put you down for that. I believe everyone has that right. We've already lost a lot of our rights to religion! They took prayer out of the schools. You want a religious free country. This country was founded on God, remember "IN GOD WE TRUST" is printed on all our money and they are talkin about takin that off. Now they've takin the pledge out of a lot of schools too. Sayin' its not right when you have different cultures, religions, people from different country's in the schools it hurts there feelings WAAAA this is America and if you can't handle it go somewhere else. Did you know in Virginia, Kansas, & a couple of other states, there have been people arrested for praying in public. It is illegal. Did you know that in those same states plus others it is illegal to hang a religious symbal from your vehicle or wear it on your person. It's the law there. You think I'm crazy? Kansas is the bible belt of the USA do you know what every zip code in the state starts with. I'll give you a hint 66* I'm not a religious fanatic, but I do believe in GOD and I believe that is our right as a human being to have free speech wether your American, Russian, Greek, etc. We should be able to pray when and were we want. It's O.K. for a kid to wear skull and cross bones to school, but let them wear a shirt with a cross, take a bible to read at lunch. They will tell them to go home change his shirt and to leave the bible there. If you want a religious free country go somewhere else because I'm fighting for what I believe in. I belive in god and I believe in AMERICA!

Once you do that, you lose your Rights. All you will have left is Civil Liberties, permissions granted by Government.
Please read the Declaration of Independence to understand why your Rights are outside the reach of Public Servants. Read it and learn it.
Try to understand why the first Congress and the first Supreme Court were opened with hours of prayer to God for guidance. Understand why Congress instructed the first President to create a national day of prayer called Thanksgiving to honor God.
Socialists eliminate religion so that their leader has absolute authority. Socialist leaders like Hitler, Stalin, Castro, Kim Jong, Mao ... all of them did this for the same reason.

It is really difficult, dude, given the fact that the Church is a big factor in our society. we cannot just simply directly tell Church leaders to stop meddling with the political affairs of our government. It is provided in the Philippine constitution which clearly states that the Church should be separated with the State. But observing how Philippine society has (and I think, will always be) been greatly influenced by the Church, especially, the Roman Catholic Church.

If we could desire to check the form of the U. S., its alignment with the ten Commandments of God is extremely obvious, and so are the guidelines that are meant to be aligned with the form. i've got self belief that the greatness of the yankee government is made conceivable with the help of the undeniable fact that the practices are very on the portion of the written rules. it is likewise my perception that the capability of the dollar comes from the word "In God We have confidence" revealed in it. of direction, the U. S. government has its imperfections. it is the sole government interior the worldwide ( as I see it) this is closest to perfection.

The religious lobbies are far too strong to fight. It would take millions and I am not sure that even then could it be a winning cause. Religion is very strong in this country and it is too bad that it entwines itself with politics. The two should be and must be kept apart. Separation of church and state. HA!

Religion doesn't influence our government. What makes you say that? Our moral principles are based on the 10 Commandments, but that's about as far as it goes. No President holds a prayer meeting with the Congress before going to work every day. We have to have a moral base of some sort in this country, otherwise the wackos will take over.

It won't happen. It's too late, for one. I mean everywhere, it's "One Nation Under God" or "In God We Trust." It's already an American tradition. I don't think it can be changed. I believe I read something about California trying to get One Nation Under God removed from the pledge. I mean they tell you in high school to take off something because it's satanic. Well I'm in no way promoting satanists, but if you are going to discriminate one religion, be equal to the rest. But then they force you to stand and say the pledge (at least in my high school they did). It's like America is forcing God upon everyone, whether you like it or not.

By reinforcing the separation of church and state in government and the constitution through new legislation. If Republicans want to run, they must not be affiliated with the religious right actively.
