I don't know but Simon is so very rude to people who at least are getting up there and pouring out their heart with their singing. Yes, granted some of them can't sing worth a crap but It doesn't mean Simon has to be so darn nasty. I am sick of hearing him put these people down.

Also, it seems to me that the other judges don't even want to say what they really think. They strike me as waiting for Simon to decide how they feel.

I think it is just down right nasty the way he treats the contestants and before long people won't even try to become an American Idol just because they don't want to hear Simon be so cruel to them.

If nothing else, they should be treated with respect.

I think it's to get more publicity so they have more viewers. I watched that first season then I was bored with it and never watched it again. This year I decided to watch the very first episode and I couldn't believe how nasty Paula and Randy were.. they were making Simon look like an angel. I mean you expect certain comments from Simon so they really should just roll off of you, but when the other two laugh the entire audition and say the things they say you are caught off guard and that can hurt the most. I feel bad for people that try out.

For the ratings no one will watch if its boring and as you see we all what to know whats Simon on going to say next. But some of those people are just awful. Don't you agree.?

I honestly think Simon and even Randy a little bit are tired of Paula being so "nice" on camera, and such a lunatic when the camera is off. She is tiresome and increasingly tired.

I think she ought to be replaced by Brandy, then if the person really sucks ***, she can just run them over.

i dont know but if they are trying to get ratings thats a sorry way to do it i wont even watch it this year because now their not just critisizing peoples voices but now their appearance and lifestyle. sorry but thats not the point of the show and its not nice to make fun of people b/c they're not drop dead gorgeous or they are mentally challenged. my opinion though

we have to put up with that enough throughout the day to come home and watch it on t.v

It is all about the ratings! People like to complain about how rude they are and love to be angry.
