Today, i noticed a little bit of blood in my undies. I put a pad on and no more blood came out after an hour or so. Is that really my period? If not when do you think i will get it?

Yes it is. My family doctor refered to this as spotting. I don't know if you actually ovulated 2 weeks before (which would make it a true menstural cycle) but this is the begining of getting regular cycles.
I had maybe 3 or 4 cycles where I got a rust-colored discharge before I got a true menstuation and bled enough to use a tampon.
You should know that I had very irregular periods (sometimes a month apart and sometimes 3 months apart) and that may account for why my periods didn't come fully in the first cycle like some of the other women said. I now control them with birth control pills, and life is much better.
Until then, I spent many years practicing Natural Family Planning. This technique will help you track your cycle. If you use it, you will know your hormone pattern and when you ovulate. This is very useful information. It will help you know when your system isn't operating properly, and it will give you advance warning of what day your period will begin. It was helpful to me in getting diagnosis and treatment for uterine hyperplasia at age 33.
NFP can be done without tools, but is better if you use a digital thermometer (sympto-thermal method). NFP is very accurate and reliable. It is not the"rhythm method". Rhythm method is statistical - based on your PAST cycles. NFP is based on your CURRENT symptoms.
Thanks to the Catholic Chuch, there are a lot of affordable NFP classes available. You can get some info about it online, but a class is the best. (If you plan to use it to avoid pregnancy, definitely take a class.) I've put a few links below. I highly recommend learning NFP if you don't have typical menstural cycles.

When I first got my period, I didn't notice it was happening. I went to the bathroom a little later and the bottom of my underwear was covered in brown. It didn't leak into my pants, and it didn't look like fresh blood. I was really confused, I thought I had crapped in my pants without knowing. When I got home I gingerly threw my underwear in the hamper, not wanting to ever see them again. When whoever did the laundry did it, they didn't say anything about it.
A month later I found a little fresh blood in my underwear and I figured it must've been it.

My first and second period were really light, they probably did not last more than an hour either. A lot of girls's bodies take a few years to adjust into a regular monthly week-long period, and some never do. But if I had an hour-long period like you, that would make periods so much more manageable for me. =)

It could be your period because it's happened to me couple of times I'll bleed a little bit and then put a pad on and not bleed at all until the next day or so...don't be scared it's normal.

blood in your urine means you have serious health problems, blood with your urine means you are trying to get your periods i suppose, give it time and always have a pad with you.

It is perfectly normal. But, usually it all comes at once. Just by tampons or tampax. To be prepared.
