If you could make one thing into law for the world, what would it be ?

I would make it illegal to sell arms to any non-elected dictator or government.

Everyone talks about "supporting democracy" and "finding peace". Selling arms to dictators is a source for instability against democracy - the people can't revolt against a well-armed dictator.

Some say this might remove a tool of politics. I say good - it might be convenient in the short term to support some dictator, but it has so many long-term consequences.

I would make this a world law, and put our money where our mouths are.

"Everybody must do whatever I say!"

There's nothing warm and fuzzy about it, but I'm old and disenchated with warm and fuzzy laws.

Other than that, I'll just refer you to The Book of the Law.
