"IT" always freaked me out -- I hated that they never knew if what was going on was real or not. Plus clowns are just eerie.
The Shining, Night of the Living Dead, and 28 Days Later were also pretty freaky.

I thought the Ring was the scariest movie ever. I didn't like it when she was twitching when she walked and when she came out of the t.v I also thought Silent Hill was pretty freaky. I didn't like it when the burnt little kids screamed at that woman.

It would be a tie between the original Exorcist and The Omen. I was small when they both came out and remember seeing them both. The part of the Exorcist that got me was when Linda Blairs head turned all the way around! Thank goodness for night lights!

It would probably be the Innocents with Debra Kerr. It was pretty eerie and demented for not being at all gory. Saw was more disturbing so that doesn't count. Carnival of Souls is pretty creepy too.
